TOO MUCH TIME IN THE JARS??
    #1954999 - 09/26/03 06:10 PM (13 years, 10 months ago)

HI!!

he s got the problem that the colonization in the jars is different for different jars, so there are ones fully colonizated while there are others with a portion of the jar colonizated.

.he s question is...is there any problem for the mycelium if he waits some days until the fructification?? how many days shall he waits?? what shall he do??

Well thats it ..... thanks and bye!!

its usually ok to wait and keep the cakes in the jars for the fully colonized ones, while the uncolonized catch up. personally, if you think it'd take more than a week or two for the others to catch up to the fully colonized ones, you can put the colonized ones in the fridge to suspend growth until such time as you see fit. this'll also serve the purpose of cold shocking the cake into fruiting, whenever the temperature rises again to a fruiting friendly temperature.

but to answer your question directly, you can just keep them in the jars and wait until they are all ready, with no or few foreseeable problems.
