Humidity?
    #1953189 - 09/26/03 01:02 AM (20 years, 6 months ago)

Should I increase humidity and fan once a day here to help pinning? Also whats this cold shocking people talk about to induce pinning?

Thanks for help with this. I have successfully grown shrooms before using the methods I am currently using. This time it's just not pinning though. I have changed nothing about what I do.

seems like a HUGE amount of humidity in there, try a temp drop also to initiate pinning, as well as fan that sucker..probably 3 times daily. Cold shicking is a reduction in temp, usually 10 degrees will do, but some people with put their casing/cakes in the fridge to initiate pinning.

So basically lower the humidity. I will achieve this by moving the box away from the heat source at the back of the fridge.

You need about 23 Degrees to initiate pinning. This is room temp.
In theory you shoul just move it away from the fridge all in all.
And fan the shit out of it three times a day. (twice will do if you cant be there three times)
