Joust's mushroom looks kinda moldy and if I was going to buy something to eat it, I wouldn't pick the thing that had a moldy picture. I like how clean and pristine yours are, It make me want to eat them
Thanks, I hear what your saying, I definitely ate that mofo and it sure was tender and delicious.

If 7-11 used this picture to advertize hotdogs, no one would ever buy them. There's nothing wrong with Joust's pictures, they are really nice actually (I mean no offense). Ganzig should use the picture that makes the saliva build up around your back teeth IMO, RZJ's do that for me

Every time I find H. erinaceus, it is in no condition to be photographed.

I have a few weak-sauce pictures of H. coralloides, but they aren't good enough for anything other than identification. I'd look around mushroom observer for the best picture and just ask permission from whoever "owns" it.
If you want to find them you guys should be looking on downed hardwood in riparian zones.

Come to the shroomery west coast gathering in May, they won't hide from you any longer. The campsite is in the middle of several of the best spots.

It's not that your pictutre is bad Joust, it is the state of the fungus you took a picture of. Your shots make my website look better than it is. And for that I thank you.
Gravi's is quite spectacular in both the age of the fruit and, the quality of photo.

I remember Uhurungus finding some amazing looking Hericium on conifer up in the Cascades this last fall, he might be a good person to ask.

I found it once near the Molalla River, but it was only the size of a nickle. We went back to find it later, but no luck.

I've spotted it once too...not the typical looking one but I think it was americana. I'm not sure to be honest! It was very tasty though! I have not seen it since.
