Growing small marijuana plants

What If one were to plant seeds in small containers, like those red cups, and place them in a grow chamber of sorts, which included a light and fan for circulation. Would these sprout, reach the largest size possible, and then grow buds? One wouldnt care about the yield a plant would produce, as there would be maybe 10 plants total. What do you think?

Ive seen a 1 foot tall budding plant in a plastic cup. If you had a pure indica, I mean pure indica you could grow a compact plant and flower it. You would need extreme light, for it to be as short as possible. A 100watt HPS in a 1'x1'x2' area would be enough, as long as you had extreme ventilation. Yeild would be in the 1/4-1/2oz range

Grow with what is called the Sea of Green (SoG) method.
The trouble is you need a high number of plants. A mother plant or two, and then your cuttings. You root your cuttings (all from a mother, so you know they're female), then immediately force them to flower, causing a growth spurt, and the formation of one main "cola". Basically, think of an apple on the end of a stick.
This sounds like you haven't done much research, though. What are you planning on using for lighting? I wouldn't think you should waste your time with floro lights. You need to get a lower wattage (70-150W) High Pressure Sodium light. You also need to read up on when/how to force the plants to flower, how to identify males (before you get your mothers).
It sounds more complicated than it is... but is IS more complicated than simply throwing some seeds in a pot and sticking them under lights all the time.
I learned by reading sites like overgrow.com and cannabisculture.com (I'm a regular on the second one).
Hope that helps a bit.
Cheers!

Depending on your situation, I'd probably wait until spring is just around the corner; get your seedlings started, and put them outside when the temperature is descent. overgrow.com

To grow the smallest of the small, you'll need to clone. The plant needs to grow to genetic maturity, but then you can take small cuttings from a mother plant, which can be just a few inches high, and a cutting will go straight to bud after it has rooted.

Have you seen bonsai'd bud ? With this method you can control the height of the plants because it's all dependent on bonsai, a method of cutting plants/trees to control growth, height and width.
Want small weed? Simple follow bonsai method and cut away. Once you've done a few initial cuts you'll get the hang of it and keep your plant as small, or shaped or whatever in anyway you want.
