 Drying shrooms just not working...help!

Ok so I put some under a fan for 24 hours, they were pretty dry, and then I did the epsom salt thing (bake the salt at 400 degrees for 45 mins and use that as a desiccant). I have it in an airtight container, salt on the bottom, screen, shrooms. I put them in the fridge.
I took it out today and there's condensation on the outside of the container. I open up the container and they're spongy. It appears as if they've gathered more moisture by being in the fridge. I thought they were supposed to be stored there? wtf???????

They're supposed to be stored there. Freezer is best.

They wern't fully dried before you put them in the fridge. The fridge is the place to store jars that you arn't ready to use yet. The freezer is the place to store shrooms once they are dry.

Doh! Ok so I'm leaving them out. I hope too much moisture didn't get in. I dont want to bake more epsom.
3-4 days should do it, then into the freezer they go. And then into some chocolates!

buy a 20 dollar dehydrator at wally world put a dimmer switch on it, fan dry em or cut up the big ones throw in the dehydrator bam cracker cracker dry in 2 days tops

For $36 I got a fully temp adjustable dehydrator at W-mart. I think it's called the "Snackmaster" by Nesco. You get 4 trays, lowest temp setting is 95 F. Will dry a ton of shrooms at lowest temp setting in about 18 hours-cracker dry.

the fan is an amazing thing!
24-48 hours fan drying will remove most of the water. Ive had a 65g shroom go down to 31gs in less than 12 hours, i cant imagine trying to dry that thing with dessicant only. Might as well pour a freakin cup of water into my dessicant
After fanning, the shrooms always go into the dessicant chamber for storage and complete drying. Hope you shrooms haven't rotted yet.

No, I fanned them for 24 hours and they were dry, then I put them into the chamber, which I then put into the fridge, which I guess was my mistake. They're out of the fridge now but I don't want to open the container to check if they're dry or not.
No matter, my cakes are exploding with shrooms now!
