Thanks. Eating today. Hopefully I get a 2nd flush. I probably should have used a bigger bag and more straw to get more.

Hi all. This is whats going on in my grow room.
Still hoping to get shimeji and a shiitake and nameko fruiting.
It looks a bit pale but that is because of the color of the light in my grow room, which are 'cool white' led Christmas lights.
It's Lions mane, Phoenix, King and grey oyster
Anybody out there that has enoki and want to trade with someone from europe?

I do this for all new species to get the full and most flavor. I think this would be great seared and cooled and used in a salad with feta, cucumber, red onion, and some nice greens and a red wine vinaigrette. Just me though. Everyone at work wanted a piece to try so I couldn't play around with it much as it went quick.
Man that does sound good in a salad like that... I gotta try that method of cooking! I can grow 'em but I'm severely lacking when it comes to culinary skills
Also, nice grows there Oldguy! That's some delicious looking lion's mane.

I put the coffee in the jar when it was slightly warm to the touch. I do a few jars and alternate which jar gets the brew of the day. Here's a few early photos of them. I'm doing king oysters now the same way. Works pretty good.

Again with the Schizophyllum commune. Harvested my bags tonight. Ten 600 gram bags. I didn't weigh the yield. Just something to play around with.

Nice work! Did you leave some fruits on the bag so you could let 'em dry out and watch 'em come back to life? I would have

It is also one of the most common mushrooms in the world. There are always oddball medical cases floating around (no pun intended). There's a youtube vid out there of a lady with a worm in her brain from eating under cooked pork. Weird stuff happens.

I was getting a bit excited about this one. My last Neolentinus ponderosus only threw one pin. I counted 16 when I put this guy in the gh. For some reason the larger guys split. Maybe they didn't like the fir I put them on. Still better than my last go at them.

Wow that is a crazy pin set! I've only got like two pins on the this sucker but I got some more grain spawn to use soon of this culture so I guess I'll see if I have any better luck. Good work Jeff!
Do you think the splitting had to do with too much humidity or not enough?

Sorry, I'm easily distracted... Cool species, let us know how they taste!

Derp, I gotta pay more attention... Is this one a long wait for pins, or quicker?

It was quick this time. The sub is red fir and it pinned in less than two weeks.
