I sterilized my sub yesterday for my mono grow. I also sterilized soem coir/verm that i spawned two cakes to on the 22nd. It's about 40-50% colonized now. Can't wait to grow that shit out!

Great stuff like always Pasty. For someone who like you, has shedding animals(4 cats and 9 cockatiels[literally the dustiest shedding bird species in the entire world]) I don't want to take any chances so unless it's a tek that can be modified to be cleaned in a AA pressure sterilizer, I don't want to bother. I'm too scared lol.
I will definitely be trying this out when I get working on grain spawns.

i'm almost thinking it got there during the mix, it's still shooting up pretty quick and it's alot thicker then most of the little spouts that pop up from pasturizing but everything seems fine

I use a 75x, just pack the sub into quart jars, slap on an unmodified lid, and sterilize just as you would the spawn.

I used coir/verm/oyster shell 4:4:1 substrate, sterilised in jars in a pressure cooker for 70 mins.
Mixed with grain spawn in a 30L monotub.(First attempt)
7 days colonising. Things look like this...

Any comments/advice?
