Extremely slow colonisation

Hi Guys, it's my first post after months of lurking, searching and reading. So, hello and thanks for everything so far
I've been trying to grow for four months now without much luck, using a number of spore prints.
Here's what I've done so far:
1. Spores to Agar, it germinated fine, in about A week I could start seeing the myc. Agar is mixed with a bit of liquid malt extract.
2. Isolated strains, discarded contaminated dishes, ended up with some nice ryzomorphic shapes which didn't contaminate.
3. prepared organic rye grains per RR, made about 12 jars of various sizes, filtered with micropore tape and polyfill.
Now I have 10 jars (2 were discarded due to contamination) with some myc grow. it's been about 3 weeks and it's still not much bigger than the initial agar wedge originally inserted to the jar. It does grow, but in a pace which will take months to fully colonize.
I tried shaking some of the jars, and also changed the filter of a few others to one layer of new micropore (without polyfill) just in case that there needs to be more gas exchange.
I'm doing everything as explained by RR, the spores were purchased from a reliable shop.
Any ideas?

I will try taking some pictures and post here (I don't have a proper camera so I will use my puny webcam)
Until then, are there any causes for slow growth other than low gas exchange, (invisible) contamination or too dry / wet grains?
Also, local temp. at this time is about 63 - 71

sounds like a contam, i'm sure you would know if your grains were to dry and if there too wet...it's probably a contam

A number out of the initial batch of jars did get contaminated, and when it happens, there's no mistaking it. (It was Trich)
Is is possible that ALL of my other jars are contaminated, and that there's no way to spot it by the naked eye?
I looked all over the forums for contamination pics and saw none of that on my own jars.
