Filters Wet after PCing
    #19505456 - 02/01/14 09:53 AM (10 years, 11 months ago)

The last two times I've run my pc, I remove the foil from the lids after it has cooled to find that the SFD's are saturated through with water. I've not changed any procedure about how I am pc'ing> are they wet because water is steaming out of the jars?! Anyone else have issues with this?! Any help/advice would be very appreciated...

same thing has always happend to me I started wrapping rubber bands around the foil. even though the water would be pooled up on the lids after pcing it never affected my jars but i put the rubber bands on just to be safe

as long as your grains aren't affected by it don't worry. I use tyvek and water can't get through it, not sure if SFD's are the same. also after every run I hold the re-used tin foil up to the light to check for holes. if there's no holes I keep it, if I see light at all I throw it away
