How does my setup look?

So first post here hope I'm not breaking any rules or anything. But here's my setup. I'm new to cultivating and was wondering what you guys thought of my closet setup. Mostly concerned if there's any issues you see with my setup so far. As of right now I have inoculated some jars and I haven't gotten past that point yet. My biggest concerns with my setup are 1, is it okay for me to store my jars under my SGFC like I am? Or will it increase contamination risk? I could also cover the jars in a blanket or something. My second concern has to do with the light. Is it too bright? Or would a second light be better? Or should the light be closer or further from the growing chamber?
I also am putting a space heater and a humidifier in my closet when it comes time for laying down the cakes in the SGFC.
Any recommendations are welcome! Hoping to be fully prepared for these cakes when they are fully colonized.

Looks good so far. You should have perlite for when your about to add the cakes in there, and you shouldn't need a humidifier then. Also I read people not liking the idea of putting a space heater in such close proximity of the FC. Maybe in the same room the closet is in, with the door of the closet opened. You need to make sure there's good air flow going through the tub and with closed doors, it's hard to achieve.

What's the reason for the dislike towards space heaters being in close proximity? Contaminants?

no once your cakes are in the fruiting chamber they're already floating in a huge contam broth, The air you breathe each breath has 1000s of contam spores and bacteria. The space heater will dry your shit out and being that close it will make things too hot. Put the light closer to your FC if you can the heat will help from the bulb to make the SGFC work properly. Read the first link in my signature scroll down the the fruiting chamber part and it will give you an idea of the counter-intuitive physics involved in the SGFC.

To be honest, I personally have no idea why. Maybe it drys the substrate out faster, but I could be off. I just know a lot of the trusted cultivators frown upon having a heater so close to the FC.

an oil filled radiator space heater that heats by conduction rather than air moving past a heating element will keep from drying you out, but even still you should put it on the other side of the room.

That is exactly what I use in the basement so the air doesn't get too dry down there like It did with a small oscillating fan/heater did.

Hmm it sounds like I'm going to need to buy a thermometer and play a little guess and check to get the heat right. Do you think the light will give off a good amount of heat? It's kind of cold in my apartment even with heat on full blast. Probably around 68 degrees or so. So I'm hoping I can boost the temp in there with the lights if I have them close enough. If I were to add a second light and move them both within inches of the GC would that be enough heat?
And just to make sure, the jars are fine under the terrarium correct?

I just read the link in your signature. What's the reason for not wanting a fan in the same room? It sounds like I'm going to need to have my GC in the middle of the room if I can't have a fan running in my closet for airflow which id much rather do.

You should take the foil off th lids of you jars! They might end up stalling or just taking a lot longer. They need GE. Other than that it looks great!
Good luck to you and happy growing!

SGFC work on natural air currents a fan in the room destroys the passive FAE of a SGFC rendering it completely useless for the most part.
