It's a bong

Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. Where did you get the pic from?
I do have a large laboratory equipment book with 832 pages of all kinds of stuff.
It's not a bong BTW.

It does kind of resemble a bong but I don't understand the purpose of two mouth pieces. It also looks like it has glass on glass fitting on both of the "mouth pieces". Don't know what the twist knob on the right would be for either.

The knob thing on the right is called a stopcock.
And it's not a bong.

Knew it wasn't a bong but any idea of the specific use of this piece of glass?

Either way why is it in mushroom cultivation?

Well, it's not a bong I can assure It's a piece of laboratory glassware, with some kind of specialty function. The twist knob on the right is for regulating gas flow (on/off). I think it's for gas because the inside tubing is so thin (about 1mm inside). I took the picture myself, I have 2 of these devices, just brought with some other glassware today.
I think it's a part of some bigger chemical setup and is named after the inventor, like other laboratory glassware.

I'm still looking in my catalog.
The easiest way is for the next time someone steals lab ware to get the fucking name before they steal it.
It not like someone just found this and said oh wow, what is this doing on my front door step.
Maybe, the place where it was stolen will say I wonder who's the MOFO who stole my such and such. Then after hearing this the person who stole it can search the Internet for it's usage.
Problem solved.
Till then I still have 600 pages of lab book to look at.
I may find it I may not.

because I did not find a better place to ask this question. This forum should have some adequate people reading those posts. I did not want to register for some chemistry forum for just one question.

Agreed, this might be better suited in the chemistry and pharmacology forum. Whether you want to post it there or not that's just where it belongs and where you'll get the best replies. Also you don't need to register at a new forum, we have one right here on the shroomery

I have found a Gas Washing Bottle in my catalog that kind of look like it in design and it may be very well what this item you have displayed is for.
I'm still looking though.

Exactly!
I think it's actually a custom made apparatus from how it looks (used to blow glass), so it could be used for anything but to me it looks like it's for gas too.

Not totally sure but the top left side may be a Vacuum trap of sorts but not sure.
Regardless, it's no good for making METH is that's what you planning.
For mushroom cultivation it's useless.
If it's not stolen, why don't you ask the guy where you got it from.
Who else in here thinks it's stolen?
