What should I use for nitrogen? Nothing smelly

I'm using a coir/verm/rye grain spawn method for cambodians which is really working out for me in number. The size on the other hand is inferior to pics I have seen of this variety on bulk subs but still a very satisfying grow. I know MS can produce a variety of random fruits but I also know that additives can be included for better yields and potency.
I know that nitrogen is speculated to increase potency due to all alkaloids containing two nitrogen atoms. Is there any other addition that cubes require or perform better with? Also that gypsum comes highly recommended for various chalky additives whilst stabilizing ph but what is good for nitrogen content?
Spent coffee grounds, blood meal, worm castings and chicken manure are some that I've come across but I've heard that blood meal and chicken manure smell bad and my grows will be carried out in my bedroom so I don't want a stink in there. I also read that coffee increases the chance of contamination.
Where does this leave worm castings? Does it smell, does it increase the chance of contams? Any other pros/cons?
Also I heard that if you start with LC then you can add hydrogen peroxide to the sub without harming the mycelium and massively reduces risk of contams, but I haven't researched LC yet.
I want to slightly refine my recipe.
1.25 coir bricks (812.5g) undecided on vermiculite amount 5% gypsum (40g) 2kg colonized rye grain 2-2.5 litres water undecided on nitrogen bosster and amount.
Any advice on this?

I use chicken manure and it works fine with no smell. Just remember that if you use any additives like that, you'll have to properly pasteurize.

Gypsum is calcium sulphate, so there's no Nx in there. You're on the right track with using decomposed organic matter since it should have fixed nitrogen. Just don't use miracle grow or something lol.
I'm not that familiar with mushroom metabolism but I know their chemo\saporotrophic. I'm not sure if there's even a way to correlate nitrogen content and psilocybin concentration without doing a whole ton of work.
Interested in seeing what others say, though!

Well I pasteurize the coir with boiling water in a bag tied off for 4 hours before adding the spawn. Do you mean pasteurize the chicken manure? How would I do this effectively? Also what quantities would I add to my mix and has this personally given* you any interesting results? What makes people choose one additive over another, why do you choose to use chicken manure?
Just curious and I wish to make an informed decision

chicken manure is great, just put it outside for a couple days first to let some of the amonia evaporate and use no more then 5% by volume

I just bought a bag for like $10 at my hydroponics store. It's small, but I just use a cup or so in my wbs soak water for edibles. I almost forgot to leave it put for my sclerotia bags

Anyone can have a speculation just like something else we all have. There is no basis in fact that adding anything to a substrate will increase potency. None.
You can increase yields with proper substrate, but forget about the NPK thing totally when dealing with organisms such as fungi and mammals. RR

Perhaps with coir the best term is cooked. Even when left untreated, mold spores rarely germinate on plain coir. However, it's also piss-poor for mushroom mycelium as those who have used un-pasteurized coir for mushroom growing can attest. I suspect it has something to do with making the cells easier for the mycelium to digest, much like the effect we humans get from cooking our food.
In that light, coir requires neither pasteurization nor sterilization, even though both seem to perform equally well, as does tossing it into a bucket with some boiling water. RR

yes, and it's best to properly pasteurize it.

yes, 1) just expanding the coir with water and using it is worst and gives shit performance
2) Expanding the coir with boiling water in a bucket is neither sterilization or pasteurization but it's slightly better.
3) Sterilizing the coir is slightly better than the bucket tek(2)
4) properly pasteurizing is best, IE 140-160F for an hour.
coir is very very forgiving, It's extremely hard to fuck it up and if you see a contam before the first flush it isn't your coir it's your spawn.

"noticeable" maybe, if you're growing from spores you won't know what the yield should have been any way since it's always different. You'll be able to tell the difference if you're working with an isolate. But even with spores it will increase the performance, but being able to notice it is another thing.

Adding an entire quart of gypsum would just be a waste.
Try adding one cup or less per brick of coir.

yea a quart is a lot, that would likely throw off your field capacity 2 espressos and 2 bowls for breakfast makes the reading comprehension a little off
