You probably don't need to put them in an incubator, The only thing that will happen from not putting it in the incubator is the growth will slow down... But this is a hobby where patience is a virtue. I have cultures in the refrigerator which still grow even when cold. The condensation may be from temperature fluctuations between warm and cold, if the incubator is on a cycle or something. But condensation does happen sometimes regardless, if you are worried you can store the plates upside down to keep the condensation off from the growing surface.

Is condensation necessarily a bad thing? My thermometer says my incubator has been at a constant 75 degree temp. Im not sure if I would be better off incubating them and have them finished faster with more condensation, or grow very slowly with no condensation.

Condensation can act as a vector for contaminants to get in, it can also give any bacteria in the dish a free ride in the water droplets. They can roll around spreading the bacteria and next thing you know you have a slimy petri dish... and we don't want that. Generally speaking though a little condensation is no big deal but a lot will often cause problems. Sometimes it will clear up on its own too if there is not too much of it. If you are having water on the agar I would store them upside down. Whether you want to incubate or not is entirely up to you.

I've heard of hot water in a plastic cup, then rested on top of Petri so the side with the condensation is on, will rid the condensation. It is caused by the differences in temp.(internal&external)

I actually removed them from the incubator after posting. Much of the condensation has cleared up, so I am considering keeping them out of the TIT for good. I don't want to risk contamination only having three, but anyways here are some pictures if anyone cares.
There are three. I originally inoculated three petri's with a LC, which grew out to about the size of a nickel, and I transferred the best looking piece of each to a new agar dish.

Been roughly 72 hours. They are now upside down.

Best thing about agar...well one of the best, is that contams aren't a game ender. You can transfer away from them So if they do contam, just keep transferring.
I'm on electric heat as well, and it is more economical to turn your heat down, and not off. Your heat will have to stay on longer to bring your rooms back up to temp. 15 (59-60F) will cost you less. I've tried this out myself, and this is what i've found to be the most economical.....

This I just tried a few days ago...worked like a charm
