so im doing the little Kitchen thing and ter filling my jars i figured i forgot about keeping verm for the top layer .. wtf do i do? i have plenty of perlite


advice please

Go buy more verm. Or make filtered lids with self healing injection ports. The obvious thing to do is just go buy more verm. Don't substitute perlite. It won't work

thing is i live in the middle of f** nowhere. i have to order verm from like 200 miles from here. it takes days :P

make a filtered lid with tyvek as filter then. worst case scenario you'll still just have to throw them away...

do you have any coir? seems it could work . as spores don't grow on it. just a thought .I have never tried this...gl... :tongue2:

Making a filtered lid is much the best choice for a newbie anyhow, as if you're anything like I was you'll be picking up your jars everyday (looking for growth) and disturbing your verm layer!
