GA Weiliis and cubes?
    #1949510 - 09/24/03 10:22 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

Skipped classes today to reap the supposed benefits of the past rain....found very little of anything non-active much less any active fungus...searched for 6 hours! 7 horse and cow farms & aimlessly wandered around 5 or 6 neighborhoods with the right weilii conditions. I think the dry spell has been so long for the area that even the rain we got barely penetrated the ground. I have an opportunity to go back to Memphis this weekend and *maybe* get some cubes from my old fields...or would it be worth it to wait around GA and go hunting after saturday's rains? does anyone have a guess as to then the weiliis will spring up?? thanks.

I guess it all depends on how bad you want to dose. The weiliis will be up, as soon as we get some more rain. I'd say give it a week or two(maybe 3) and if we don't get rain then make the haul to Memphis.

Its always worth waiting to hunt for.. might just find the find of the day!.. just hunt often and dont overlook anything, leaves can look like mushrooms and vice versa..(not literally lol just at a glance..) or they can hide under them..
