First grow, second set of pics

Improvements made to set-up.
Because I don't intend to grow on cakes after this grow but instead mix coir and spawn in the tray, the clear storage box and black litter tray were never intended for this grow, but it's all I have and I've had to wing it this time around.
I totally neglected to realise that the height of the clear box wouldn't give enough clearance for the cubes on top of the large coir cake like it will when the substrate is flat and spread out in the tray. So I had to prop it up on four toilet roll tubes (sterilized) to allow for height clearance. This also allows FAE so I haven't cut holes in it yet. I will do this for my next grow.
I'm assuming that doing it this way, so close to the floor will increase the chance of contaminants but I'll just have to keep an eye on it for the time being and use polyfil when I've cut holes to reduce this risk. From what I understand though, during the first and second flushes there is a far lower risk of contamination. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Full set-up with 6500k CFL bulb above and black tray combined with clear storage box as FC below. Aquatic pump on the right above chamber to allow for regular FAE. Some heavy condensation can be seen here but only on the front and top centre of the box because I had to have the window open for a few minutes and the winter air gave the water a cold surface to cling to. It's just where some cold came in through the gap in the wardrobe door for a moment. That's why it's gathered in a line in the centre on top.
 Fruiting chamber
A beautiful set of cambodian fruits far exceeding my expectations on the coir cake. Two days ago these were barely visible. Second flush of ecuadorians and blue staining from first havest on top of vermiculite casing grown on 1kg rye grain bag on the right. Perlite, hygrometer and temperature probe also seen here. Though I'm thinking of getting rid of the heat mat and cranking the radiator instead.
Up close and personal with the cambodians
Close up second flush of ecuadorians, forgot to rotate the image before uploading
Top surface. I can't wait for this tray to be full of substrate and growing a mini rainforest.
You can see a couple here that caught a drip or two and bruised slightly, but nothing severe. I had to go away for a day and the condensation was pretty insane when I got back and these couple must have got splashed little.
 A sea of cubes
Just some general shroom porn here but this grow is one of my favourite decisions ever.
I think these cambodians look really healthy and I'm looking forward to the final result in a few days.
I'll be uploading pics of the harvest and total weight when it's done.

Ok, so it's simply coco coir, verm, water and spawn on rye grain. Only half a brick of coir (4.5 litres) a cup of verm and about 1.25 litres of boiling water and 1kg of fully colonized rye grain a few hours later once it has cooled.
It took about 10 days to fully colonize, 3 days to form hyphal knots, 3 more days to pinheads and a further 2 days brings us up to date. Well in the early hours of the 4th day as I write this.
Everything's looking peachy
Toddler273: This is my first grow and those pics were taken just before the upload so I don't have results yet. I looked some pictures up earlier of the cambodian and they're an interesting shape and size. I picked the ecuadorians too soon in a stoned moment when they suddenly started bruising (due to heavy moisture). But they were taking a long time because of issues with all I had available at the time. Everything is back on track now I've improvised a better set-up, conditions are good, cubes are responding well and everything's taking off nicely

I love how you said "up close and personal with the Cambodians"
I instantly thought of those nature shows where a guy wearing kaki clothes standing in tall grass, whispers into the camera " watch as we get an up close and personal look at the Cambodians in their natural habitat.. These wonderful creature have been utilized by humans for ceremonial purposes for over 100 centuries."
Lol that was my own little add on:) I'm probably just really high but wat eva
But i love it.. So so so many pins

Dr.Dankhead: Best reply I've on the shroomery
Camtaro420: The cake on the right had the first flush picked a couple of days ago and bruised very dark blue. No contaminants yet

Good God, I'd be scared to sleep in the same house with that.
It really doesn't have holes on the bottom, does it?

Very cool. That's a nice pinset you've got there for a giant coir cake. I'd try and get your light a little closer to your tub(or your tub a little closer to your light)

Haha no I'm not growing in a dorm so no fear. I just moved the clothes I was hanging to the shelf just above the top of the picture. I figured a wardrobe was my best option because it's always within reach to check on the conditions and easily concealed when people visit. I just need to feed the lamp cable through the back like I've done with the air pump and heating mat, just to tidy up the cables a little. Though I'd probably still have a go if I was in a dorm, very little holds me back
No holes in the bottom and thanks for the lighting tip, I'm sure it won't take me 2 minutes to make an adjustment. How close would you recommend? It's a 15w CFL 6500k with 820 lumens light output
