Ecuador rye/coir/verm cake 1

So I mixed up some rye berry spawn, coir, and verm (the ratio has no rhyme or reason, just eye-balled it) into a small 6x6 baking pan and allowed it to colonize for about 10 days. Here is the first flush. I'd like to take a print from the larger one on the left but I hear allowing spores to drop signals the myc to stop fruiting. Will this affect my future flushes? Thanks.

That's incorrect. Spores won't do to much. If you're that concerned snip the cap off right before or right after veil tears.

When mycelium makes a full spore drop, it signals to shut down or go into die-back mode since the life cycle is complete. Pick before that happens.
Also, spores taste horrible so the food quality of the mushrooms goes to shit if you don't pick on time. RR

I suspected this. Thanks for the references. Looks like I'll just pick them and wait for a print in a future flush.

Wow I just got schooled... Looks like I got some reading to do my friends...
On a side note would one mushroom dropping spores do that or does it have to be a good amount of a flush. Alot of the quotes say something like. "Yes, a massive spore drop will affect future flushes" or "When mycelium makes a full spore drop,"
What I meant was one mushroom isn't going to do this. I assume now I'm incorrect in thinking this but I'd like some confirmation.
Also if going for a print don't you remove at least the cap just after the veil breaks anyways. I'm sure I've seen tubs that have dropped a nice load and still had at least a second flush.
