Fruiting for the first time have two questions
    #19488881 - 01/28/14 09:52 PM (10 years, 11 months ago)

The first question is there's a short fat as hell mushroom with a very small pin, it was a white spot when I birthed and while fruiting developed a small pin and got rounded. Should I leave it be until it shows signs of aborting? The tiny pin is a normal color and it's still growing.

Next is the mushrooms that were pinning in the jars are getting massive fast, one has 3 fat 4" mushrooms they look like they're about to be fully mature. However, the rest of the cake is just starting to pin. Do I remove these mushrooms when they're ready for harvest? Or leave them be until the whole cake is ready?

As far as the ones that are maturing faster, pluck them as they are ready.  Leave that fat one alone, see what it does.

invitro fruits tend to get the tear drop shape after birthing, as he said pluck when there readyy or snip the caps off ones you think may harm other fruits
