Temperature problem

Hey guys, got a question for you.
Got a bit of a problem with temperature in my flat, we have no central heating so the temps are currently quite cold in all the rooms, getting down to 50/55f over night and barely over 60f during the day. To combat this I have put my jars in an incubator, I put down a couple of clean T-shirts then a few jar lids to raise them away from the heat but no matter what I try the bottom grains seem to be drying out. (temps are 73f during the day and down to 65f over in the incubator)
I know using an incubator is not ideal, but it is really the only option I have at the moment to keep them in a decent temperature range, does anybody have any solutions to the grain drying problem? Any help will be appreciated.

Something similar to this, it is the only thing I had handy that didn't involve money. I am pretty low on funds at the moment.

Okay, well do you have any other suggestions on how to keep the temperatures up? I have a couple of spare totes that I could make in to a TiT incubator if I can find a fish tank heater. I have read elsewhere that this can cause the same problem though. Any suggestions would be appreciated, growth was almost non existent before I put them in the propagator. Thanks for the help so far.

The reason, I believe, the TiT works so well is because the water disperses the heat evenly and surrounds the 2nd tub rather then just the bottom.
That is your best bet. If you can get an oil radiator to heat the room that might work better but probably will be more expensive.

Everyone here loves oil filled radiators and will recommend it since it doesn't dry out the air in the room. I have one which tried to kill me by slicing my wrist open when I tripped over it but I still run it in my basement.
