Found a small patch of mushrooms today. One fully developed one, and a bunch of smaller ones.

A. Habitat is on a root of a pine tree, about 5 feet from a compost pile.
B. Gills are not attached
C. Stem is about 3 inches, cap about 1.5 inches.
D. Stem is a orangish-brown, simular to a rubber band. Dark around the bottom and it gets lighter as it goes up. VERY fiberous. Moist.
E. Cap is same color as stem, moist.
F. No spore print as of yet! Will update as it comes along.
G. No bruising
H. Smells simular to white-button mushrooms, but stronger, like rotting wood.

I'm thinking that it's some kind of Cortinarius. It's not active, I can tell you that.

yes, the very well speced gills and their thickness is characteristic of Laccaria. also: the gills on that mushrooms are attached, they are adnate to subdecurrent from what i see. Laccaria lacata is Lakowka pospolita or Common Laccaria in polish. very common there, widespread as we all see.
