CoCo Coir: Which?

I haven't used much coco coir in the past but after seeing everyone get good results, I will be trying it and letting go of the poo. My question is what is the best brand to buy for quantity and quality for the dollar? Will coco husk work also?
Heres some deals I found, but not sure if they are good enough to use.

If you are getting manure for free, then why switch. Idk if you get it for free or not just assuming. Check out this site for 3.82 for 3 blocks of coir!! Spend 49 dollars and get free shipping!! https://www.petsolutions.com/C/Reptile-Substrate/I/Eco-Earth.aspx
I forget which member I got that link from but to whoever it is thank you

If you have access to lots of poo then try mixing it with coir. I love the texture that the two mixed create especially with some verm. Of course poo is a little hard for me to come by this time of year, so I just do coir verm which is as simple as shitting your pants. So if you want to switch due to ease of use, I understand completly.

That the same coir I use! No Chems or anything. I use to use straight but I get horse manure for free now so I mix it half/half. Before I found that site I was paying $9 for three brick so that price is a hook up.
If you do go looking for coir at hydro stores read what's in it first. Since hydroponic coir is for plants people have reported trich being added to support plant growth!

Thanks. I didn't know about the Coir and trich, seems kinda weird. I'm going to have to watch that just incase they switch vendors on me.

wouldn't matter if there is trich, we pasteurize or sterilize anyway and yes husk is fine to use, coir is just ground husk
