I was just talking to dude, looking at pics of the place on his phone.

Nice. I have a lot of kitchen an restaurant experience as well. An ill say it sounds like a good opportunity. HOWEVER if your gonna be salary get in writing a fair agreement that states a maximum youll work or whatever other clauses you wanna add. My best friend used to manage a steakhouse but had a clause in his contract that he only worked 5 days a week max, no more than 10 hour days (an if he did he went hourly,) and that on his days off he could bartend when he wanted.

It was a sweet gig. You do the same.
