How many colonized 1/2 pint jars (BRF and vrm) am i going to need to produce aprox 1 pound or 448 grams of mushrooms in a month (would that be 1 or 2 flushes?), using humidified terrariams and a 60/40 vermiculite/coco coir casing. Also, how many large tubs am i gonna need, ive only done small scale before. Thanks for any advise

A whole fuckload?
Assume, if it's your first time, about 3-5 dry grams per jar. Comes out to a bit more htan 100? Have fun

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat...;o=&fpart=1 I guess this guy got ~125 grams dry his 1st flush. 448/125=3.584 3.584*20=71.6 jars. You should probably make 80-100 jars to be sure. Good luck with that.

Honestly, if you want that many shrooms, casing BRf cakes isn't the way to go. Let us know what supplies you have and what sort of budget you are working with and we'll see what we can do. You definatly need to grow bulk substrate, large containers filed with colonized poop and straw, rather than ust BRF. Much larger fruits and bottom line, more weight per square inch (or foot, in your case)

Have fun inoculating all those jars before you rack in the pounds, how bout start small. You can increase the yield of your mushies by steppin up to bulk substrate, but sometimes a lack of experience can result in failure. I wish I had the capabilities to yield a pound a month

Thanks for the help everyone, its true, I was being a little unrealistic. I have been doing jars, so i guess its time to move on to the frontier of a lot of bulk substrate. I have the spores and I have the funding, but I have concluded that I cannot safely jump into a operation like that. And in responce to duassaulit, no one is going to break my knees if I don't pull this off, but it was definitly a "help me" post. Thanks again
