That happened to my friend once. He pressure cooked his jars and afterwards he thought they looked very wet inside also. But since it took all that time to make the substrate and pressure cook the little fucks, he inoculated anyways. All the jars came out fine, colonized and produced fruits just like any other. I think you'll be alright, but like tekniq said, "Only time will tell."

I taped all of the holes and put a lot of foil around the top. The jars look very damp... WIll the jar still colonize even though it is kind of wet inside?

a friend of mine had this problem too, inside the jars was very wet and packed, if it is very cloudy, wet, and packed throw them out and try agian. my friend did put juice into one jar with no success. it was from not putting tape on the jars, just foil does not do it, you have to watch the water and do not let it boil rappedly, just get the temp just right until you see it start to boil

Hmm I taped the holes with some strong ass duck tape and put foil on top...maybe i put the temperature too high.i didnt know the jars would get all steamy inside..is that supposed to happen? well im just hoping the jars will colonize =/ it is my first time and it took me 2 hours to get those jars ready.... i h
