So is there a fully colonised substrate UNDERNEATH that casing or are you calling your substrate a casing? Because that is really important

I had a tubbawear cake colonized at 90% I scrapped away the uncolonized verm and brf from it

crumbled it then added the 50/50 mix (some on the bottom and on the top) its not a casing cover because it has nutes in it .. correct? should I wait til it fully turns white then case it. its been openly exposed to the fruiting chamber for about an hour, will it get contams now?

OK you definitely want to cover that back up and hope for the best. You want ALL of it to be completely colonised. I would cover it up and let it sit for 10 days. It may be excessive but it should be pretty certainly colonised by then.
You MAY have increased your chance of contam but at the same time there is no guarantee that it will get contamed.
For future do NOT call a substrate a casing. It's very confusing haha.
Also if it is P Cubensis then you don't NEED to case it if your fruiting chamber is capable of the high humidity and high FAE they require.
Hope that clears things up a bit.

Yes, im still getting the terms down packed. but thank you that helps a lot, should put it back in a bag , in the dark with with no fae with temp between 85 to 90 degrees like I had it? and will giving the bulk that one hour of fae stall the birth in anyway?

Yeh the terms can take a while haha. Personally id be going for a temp between 75 - 80F. not as high as that. Could lead to some nasty contams. The hour of air SHOULDNT do anything to it. Or not much at least. But otherwise yeh put it all back with no fae and no light hitting the top of the casing (in case it tries to pin) and leave it for 10 days at a nice temperature and hope for the best.
If it doesn't work out at least you know for next time
Best of luck

Ok so another question for you guys.. you know how we are suppose to add the bulk substrate to the colonized rye, corn,or before cakes after they are 100%? Is it possible to pasteurize the bulk sub than just inject it with spores? I have a large tub that wont fit in my P.C

no, spores rarley germinate on bulk subs and grains are the primary nute source

no spores have a hard time germinating on coir. Chances are some contam would get in and take hold before your mycelium had a chance.

Most bulk subs don't have enough nutrition to germinate spores.
