Ive heard Penis envy are the best. That the high doesn't come in waves like most shrooms. Is this true? And are they slow colonizers/fruiters by nature?

This thread will get closed if you're just talking about cubensis strains, they are all roughly the same, PE can be slightly more potent and slower growing, but it still is cubensis and the trip is much like any other cube. In answer to your question though, IMO the best shrooms for tripping are the woodloving psilocybes like p. ovoideocystidiata, p. cyanescens, p. azurescens etc. They are more potent and have a cleaner feeling, less anxiety to the trip and better visuals, but they're not something you can cultivate indoors.

Can't speak to the high. They can colonize more slowly and first flushes can be blob like.
Why don't you ask your question in the strain thread? That's where people answer questions about different race's of cubensis.

I'm assuming you're new, so just grow cubes. If you use a monotub you'll have more than you know what to do with. Don't worry about potency, grow cubes and if you want to trip harder, eat more. If you want less nausea per dose, make tea.

Oh, and I know you have a burning urge to ignore this and try to grow pans or something, but really grow cubes. I was tempted to grow pans first, but I'm very happy I grew cubes instead. Cubes are so forgiving and you'll be so happy when you get your first flush. If you try something harder you likely won't get anything. Just take our advice and you won't regret it.

After cubes your next step is panaeolus. Or if you want an outdoor bed of wood lovers.

Yep. Learn the ropes on cubes, but once you've acquired the skills to grow something else, you should move on to greener pastures. Doing galindoi or mexicana truffles in vitro is actually a good way to try something new that is actually in some ways easier than cubes and the end result has a much cleaner, mellower trip.
