Temperature affecting potency?

Hey folks,
I recently read a post by RR saying that higher temps during fruiting lead to more pins and therefore more fruits. Lower temps during fruiting lead to less fruits, but meatier ones.
Other people have posted suggesting that fruiting at lower temps makes more less fruits but more potent ones?
Is this true? I always thought that MS was a crapshoot for potency. You never know what your going to get as different fruits vary wildly in potency.
Clarification?
Thanks, PB

smaller fruits are in general more potent and they sort of very slowly dilute as the grow up and dilute even faster after the veil pops. That's why most people pick right at or before the veil pop.

Temps aren't going to effect potency unless it's something absurdly high to catch the cake on fire.
The only difference you're going to get with MS and lower/higher temps is that lower temps your mushrooms are going to be dense & heavier, higher temps they have a chance of being hollow.

I thought of this complex just not too long ago. Since colder temps result in preservation of actives, Less would degrade during growth. but If no degradation occurs till oxidation colder temps would only help that. Fruiting should be abundant regardless the temp. at least that's how it should be. But nominal temps succeed in better growth therefore more chemicals too.
