Outdoor growing
    #19476547 - 01/26/14 12:22 PM (10 years, 11 months ago)

Hi Im thinking about growing some mushrooms outside on a pile of rotting wood this year. I was thinking some sort gym like a luteofolius but I've never grown mushrooms before. I was wondering if I could just leave the fresh caps on the log for a hour or two like taking a spore print.
Anyways will this work or Is there a better way?
I could use some tips and ideas

Grain spawn first would be a better way.

or you could colonize plug spawn, drill holes in the log and plug them with it.

Either way just dropping spores on a log will not get you fruits.
