couple of questions...
1. i have 2 jars like this. what kind of cheap small fc should i construct if i want to let one fruit out of the top of the jar and one to birth?
2. i know when birthing im supposed to rinse off the uncolonized portion to try and get rid of the contam, and that i should pick the shrooms that are maturing and not pins anymore. do these look like i should pick some of them before the rinse and dunk?
3. ive heard about cauterizing the area suspected to being contaminated. is this a good idea and if so how would i go about it?
4. are these shrooms ok to eat tonight when i birth the other jar? they dont look rotten and just look like healthy fruits to me.

yes you can eat those shrooms but if you have bacterial contam and it looks like you do, there is no way to get rid of it. Yes, you should pick those large fruits off before you soak and try to fruit out your cakes but they are likely going to fall apart due to poorly formed myc and bacterial contam

Yea. You can possibly get them to flush as cakes if they will hold together but that's about it. In other words' its a do-over. But at least you will have a small meal

I've managed to get 2 or 3 flushes out of an early pinning WBS jars left invitro. I just cut the top of a clear 1 gallon water jug and put it over top of the jar and misted frequently. You could put the jar right into an SGFC if you have one.
