Mycelium or contam? (PF jar)
    #19472683 - 01/25/14 03:42 PM (10 years, 11 months ago)

Hi everyone! After lurking around the Shroomery for a while, I recently decided to try my first grow. I inoculated some PF jars about 12 days ago and stored them in my closet (~72 degrees), but so far only one of them has shown signs of growth. Also, the mycelium that's forming looks kind of wispy instead of the solid white that I was hoping for.

I've seen pictures of cobweb and read that it's rare in PF jars, but it's still kind of worrying that this is the only jar that has any growth and that the growth seems fluffy and stringy at the edges. Can someone help identify what this is?

Thanks for the reassurance everyone. I guess I was just being a bit paranoid.
