Chicken of the woods.
    #1940658 - 09/22/03 12:34 PM (20 years, 6 months ago)

Myself and Shirley Knott went Mushroom picking this weekend
and found a few chicken of the woods. I haven't eaten this
mushroom before, so i searchd the internet for idears.

This is the source for this dish
Sauteed Chicken of the Woods

And these are the shrooms

And this is the prep

The Mushrooms were soaked in plain water over night

The ingredients were cut and made ready

Then the onions and garlic were fried

The tamari sauce was added

Then the chicken of the woods added, and the tyme (bettter late
than never ;-) i nearly forgot it) all was then fried till
well cooked.
Then the finnished product :-)

These were suprisingly good to eat, a good texture, somewere
between chicken and cooked liver, but with a nice mushroomy taste :-)
Well worth trying.

I concur, eating 8 year old food is ill advised.
