Anyone that has never seen the movie Waking Life, should seriously consider renting it or more likely, buying it. I won't give it away to anyone who hasn't seen it, but it is truly one of the most creative and deep movies I have ever seen. Check it.

the movie either makes ya think or TWEAK THE FUCK OUT!! a kid we know was over our house this year...he munched down a 1/4 of mush and before we knew it he started freaking out...
singing in a crazy opera voice about wanting to kill us..and flinging himself halfway across the room..and ripping our sad excuse for a table apart...he started thinking that we were all just characters in a movie..and saying now we all had to die... afungi(a shroomite) and a couple of the other boys who were there were planning on duct taping him to a chair.... fortuntaly hours and hours later we calmed him down,,,kinda, atleast there was no bloodshed! but i certainly wouldn;t want to be ducted up while tweakin! whoaaaa! word to the wise...don't watch with unsuspecting shroomers!!

My friend lent me the movie a few months ago, and I still haven't watched it. I haven't given it back either though, so I guess I'll just have to give it a watch. I had never heard of it when she lent it to me, but now I see it in stores all over the place, and hear more and more people talking about it. I suppose it's time to blow off the dust, and give it a chance.

I think that you've missed the point of the movie. It is not about philosophy, views or opinions so much as it is about the strange phenomena of your own unconscious mind coming up with these interesting and abstract concepts, which were before "unfamiliar" to you. It must stem from basic personal beliefs, but dreaming definitely opens up rarely used parts of the brain, which then generate a whole world of relative stimuli.

Yeah, that movie is about philosophy. Its not extremely complex philosophy though. Anyone can understand what they're talking about but some of the concepts are really cool. Also the way it was filmed has a pretty fucked up effect. They shot it with a camera and the painted over each frame.
Yes it's definitaly worth a viewing or 6.
