i have generated this from scratch, yes.. i wouldn't consider it a huge feat of magic, ive just learned to manipulate a certian few key elements that really produce some nice visual effects.. it is not a different prog used to generate the fractals, merely kais power tools 5.0 < a photoshop plugin>.. i like using it a lot because you can generate an image based off of a fractal by clicking and dragging, so you can make shapes and stuff.. .. i usually generate 4 or 5 and layer them, adjust the layering properties, utilize mirror offset at times to make the image tileable... other then that it's just about picking the right colors... i also cant help but notice a striking resemblance between the very center of this image and rhizomorphic mycelium growth..

Nice pic! I love that Avatar too.
And starseed, your pics are allright. No offense or anything (construktive kritisizm), but all those 2D swirlie color pics aren't very unique imo. Maybe it's just me.

I've got photoshop and KPT 6, but haven't figured out how to produce anything similar to those fractals (or anything halfway decent for that matter). Is is something to do with the turbulance filter, by chance? Guess I need to go fool around some more, a lot more.
