Magash? NEone who is experienced w/ the poor mans pod?

I have a question concerning the pmpod obviously. It's not a rediculously hard question and I've read every post in the thread but can someone help me out?
1)for my tank size which is tiny in comparison to magash's(17 gallons) would the Profile 2900 be sufficient, or should I look into the Profile 4000? (I do believe the 5500 is too much 4 my set-up)
2)for the bubbler/airstone whatever, which is better? a:a long rod-like bubbler(Aqua-tech bubble curtain) b:a long airstone (Auquatic Gardens bubble bar) I ask because the bubble bar looks much more efficient but is more expensive. Would the bubble curtain perform just as well cuz some people said they were experiencing a loss of air exchange w/ this.
3)Using the PF Tek method along w/ the poor man's pod...what other kinds of mushrooms could I grow(edible non-hallucinagenic mushrooms)and where would I find these spores?
Thanx in advance for the patience and advice!

For something tiny the 2900 should work. You want the air exchanged 3 times a hour with the pod.
The long rod type is better. Stones plug easy with the dust that comes off of perlite, geolite, lava rock. The rods are much easier and will cost less over time cause you can take a pin and make new holes in it.
Yes it will work with other types of mushrooms. You can get the cultures from Ralphsters.

Automated systems continuously keep the air so much better circulated and are so much cleaner than fanning, leading to bigger, healther flushes. When you can rig up an automated system for less than 20 bucks, I don't know why anyone would want to fan manually.

^dunno hope U get your question answered.
Thanx Magash I hoped if I put your name in it U would respond:) I read that about 2 to 3 times air exchange per hour, but the Profile pumps had no way to determine the pump size to the size of the aquarium. Cool I'ma take my bubblers back cuz I paid far too much 4 them and keep the rods.
I am not really interested in fanning manually Joeshitragpicker(nice name by the way)cuz I have too much shit to do to do it by hand....besides the poor man's pod "is gonna be shitty for those who like to do all the work"-something like that.
Magash are U sure U understood me correctly? Ralphster spores sells non-hallucinagenic mushrooms?
AND LASTLY A COUPLE MORE QUESTION I FORGOT TO ASK.....
1:I have geolite left over from my hydroponic vegetable garden last year *clears throat*......what was the ratio for water and bleach? 1:10?
2:What size holes should I put at the top? (I don't wanna design the stopper w/ the bolt like was described in the forum...K.I.S.S)
Thanx...I'll post pics when I am finished:)

Ralphster use to sell ediables also. I'm not sure if he still does.
I'm not sure about the bleach thing. I just rinse them off with hot water. When it comes to contams don't do as I do. I don't seem to have much of a problem with them so PCing the substrate and cleaning the needle when shooting up jars is all I do for them.
The holes should be about the size of a pencil. Take the extra 10 seconds to make the ones that adjust.
