Trek Gary Fisher Wahoo 29er...I bought it for 300$ off of Craigslist. The guy still had the receipt for it, and he just bought it a month ago. He also gave me papers from where he purchased it, so I get free tune-ups for a year. Pretty excited to start riding this to work and wherever else. It is literally like brand new, and I feel like I got a pretty good deal on it.

Damn, nice!
I found a trek 4300 on CL for $200, should I pick it up? Trying to find a good first bike for mountain trails and city commute.

I've got that exact same bike.
2013 Trek Wahoo 29er Gary Fisher edition with disc brakes.
I bought my brand new from the bike shop this spring and paid $600 for mine.
I absolutely love the bike. Already put 900 miles on it.
Planning on buying a full suspension trek next year. Trek Fuel 29er, they retail around $2,000.

I just got a bike off of Craigslist for $275:

It's a custom Jamis that a guy won for a prize and sold it to his friend. He said he paid $300 for it and it has less than 2 miles on it.
Now that I have Parkinson Disease, my Doctor told me to get more exercise. I did a search on "Search Tempest" (google it) and it was the first thing that popped up. It fits me perfectly and I love the Blue/Black colors.

I don't think that I could help you because I don't have them on my bike. I wish I did though.
Sincerely, bootster

I picked up this Cannondale F6 off of craigslist for $200 a couple months ago. Great condition from some older wealthy guy who wanted to get rid of it because it did not 'fit him'. I had been hitting the trails a lot until this past month or so, I need to get back out there, it's been too long.

Nice!!!
I got a 29er a few years ago.. however, it seems I am just too short... got the smallest frame, was supposed to work for my legs... but I have issues getting on and off that thing. lol....
other than that, it rides amazing and I can cover some serious ground on that thing! -wanting to do a cross-country bike camping trip with it.

Sundrop:
Nice Wahoo! They're sweet whips. Take care of it, store it inside always and make sure to not push dirt into the hubs and essentially all the bearings. What a score!
cApTaInCrAp:
To clean your disc brakes, take a clean rag, splash a gratuitous amount of isopropyl(rubbing) alcohol onto it, and carefully clean the rotor. Take your wheel off and do the same with your brake pads. Make sure not to get any dirt in there. It definitely helps to clean your bike beforehand if is dirty to start off with. If you have hydraulic brakes, inspect the seals to see if there are any loose banjo fittings or the like. The most likely reason why your brakes are squealing is due to contamination on the pads or the rotor. Hand oils and hydraulic fluid are the two main offenders. Take care to not touch your brake rotors with your hands as this can definitely cause a good amount of squeal.
Cheers

How to stop disc brakes from squeeking - Put headphones on and ignore it.
My discs squeal really loud too. I just ignore it.
From what I've read most disc brakes squeal. Its just the way it is.

The bike is still going strong. I have people offering to buy it for 350-450 pretty frequently, but I won't sell it. I have no license right now, and I love it. It is just very cold out at the moment
