Broncos offense hasn't been to stellar lately (in the post season). If you look at their post season scores ( 24- 17 and 26 -16) they are in the range of Seattle type of production and they aren't playing defenses that are nearly as good. Either team could win, Seattle isn't so hot on the Road and Wilson has been spotty, maybe the two weeks will do them good. Either way Denver's offense in the post season has only put up about 4 more points than Seattle and against much weaker defenses at home (the Pats D isn't good, San Diego's is just ok).
Both teams have been playing well defensively and scoring enough points to win, both are #1 seeds, it should be a good game.

They scored on all but one of their possessions last game. You score what you need to score. I wouldn't read too much into it.
The it factor in the game is going to be if Seattle can put enough pressure on Peyton. Not counting special teams I see the weakest unit on the field to be the 'Hawks offense

Low point totals vs mediocre defenses isn't what they did in the regular season, no matter how you cut the pie. Seattle's offense isn't good, i've said that all year..

what a stupid fuck... He just made everyone a bronco fan for the next 2 weeks.
I saw that the other day and he is right. Skip Bayless is a drooling shitbird. Which does not invalidate the argument that Richard Sherman is an asshole. Just because one guy in an argument is an asshole does not establish that the other guy is not.

I am not a huge fan of skip bayless either. the way he swings off Revis's nutsack is shameful.... regardless of whether or not Sherman is the greatest CB or skip is a shitbag hack, you don't act like that on a civil talk show.
He just shows how immature and ignorant he is. He is making people forget who Artest is and the second that he fails everyone is going to have a huge target to hit and he opens himself up to a of smack talking that you know will get under his skin.
I would bet money right now that if seattle starts getting their ass kicked, like the Broncos get up 3 scores, he is going to explode and do something that gets him severely fined or suspended.

Percy Harvin, Superbowl 2014 MVP.
If he has a big game, and is the difference in this game, I'd say he was well worth the money. Seahawks got him to win a Superbowl and here is his chance to explode.

Harvin is like 165 lbs. I have banged bitches sturdier than him. He doesn't have the frame to take even a moderate hit in the NFL.

The #1 pass defense in the league going up against the #1 offense. I agree with Pickles that on a neutral field, you have to give the advantage to Denver but this is not a neutral field. It's the Meadowlands. The winds of the old Giants stadium were legendary for causing all kinds of problems for quarterbacks and I'm of the opinion that the new stadium is no better and might actually be worse. For that reason I would go with Seattle because of their incredible pass defense and superior running game.
The only thing that I think can stop them is the emotional let down of beating a hated rival last weekend. The way that team acted after that game, you'd think they had won the Super Bowl already. Someone has to get that team under control and ready to play a disciplined game against the Broncos. Unfortunately Seattle's coach is probably not up to the task. I could really see this going either way. Seattle should win from a match-up and field position standpoint, but in order to do that they have to play hard.

You would be incorrect. This stadium is way different. Which is not to say that winds can't howl but it is most definitely NOT the old Giant's stadium in which normal winds got turned into gales through architectural fubars.Quote:

The league has spent at least the last decade crafting rules to benefit offense. Seattle has two weeks to come down from that high. If this game was being played in Tampa the spread would be Denver -7. We'll see what the weather will be. I am going to make a bold prediction. This will be the very last time the Super Bowl is played in a snow belt outdoor venue. Ever.

I agree with your prediction. And I know it's a different building but I still think the winds are just as bad or worse than in the old stadium.

The Seahawks pass rush is going to be all over manning. Our CBs will Jam at the line and throw off the timing on his quick routes, giving our D Line time to sack him. Put the cold windy conditions in, I don't see how the Hawks lose. Remember the Seahawks just beat the Saints and 49ers both solid defenses. I expect Seattle offense to show up back in mid season form. Denver isn't going to know what hit em.

Peyton is 0-4 in post-season games under 40 degrees. This is probably going to be more like 20.
http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=10319069&src=desktop
Quote:
During his career, Manning has had 15 regular-season games in temperatures below 40. His career 65.5 percent completion percentage drops to 63.7 and he has 14 interceptions in those 15 games. Things have gotten worse in the playoffs. He is a 56.4 percent passer in cold postseason games. The scary number is the interceptions. He has nine picks in playoff games where the temperature is less than 40 degrees.
Another alarming stat is his yards per attempt in those games (5.53). The cold air will affect his throws more now that he's older. His passes wobble a lot more than they did in his younger days. The Seahawks shouldn't be too affected. They are a team built to win with a ground attack and a great defense.
http://m.us.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052702304027204579334860658201376?mg=reno64-wsj
Quote:
For all the greatness that Manning has exhibited over the years, his inability to master the frigid conditions typically encountered in the postseason stands as one of the most persistent shortcomings of his illustrious career.
In playoff games when the temperature drops below 40 degrees, Manning has an 0-4 record, a 56.1% completion rate and a cumulative passer rating of 57.3, compared with an overall rating of 90.1 in playoff games.

I truly expect Champ Bailey to be the one of the most, if not THE most, dominant player on the field. First appearance in the SB, probably his last. Dude will play lights out.
GO BRONCOS!!!
