A vendor's grow kits?

Good morning! I am looking at a vendor's new catalog, and I'm noticing all these mushroom kits (they call them indoor mushroom patches) They have a bunch of different kinds like Shiitake, Oyster, Lions Mane, King Stropharia, Maitake, Nemeko, and more. The grow bags or kits, have a black diamond rating system from easiest to grow to more complex. An example would be, 1 black diamond for Oysters and 4 black diamonds for Nameko. They say a humidity tent is provided. My question is, what are these humidity tents? I can't find a picture of one, or instructions to manage one. Has anyone tried these kits? If so, can you tell me your experience with it, and possibly explain to me what these humidity tents consist of? Or better yet, can someone post a pic?

Please read the rules and edit the vendors name out of your post.
Rules Thread-READ BEFORE POSTING
3. Spores are sold for microscopy use only so mycologists can ID mushrooms. If you're going to misuse them to grow a controlled substance, keep it to yourself. Any post which mentions 'such and such' vendor, will be deleted and you'll receive an official warning. Do not plug non sponsors.
Secondly grow kits suck.....the humidity tent they refer to is just a piece of clear plastic....you can make one out of a trash bag.

He's referring to edibles. Oyster, Lions Mane, etc.. No mention of actives.

So, if it is just a piece of plastic over the grow bag, still I want to see it. What are the instructions? Spray with water bottle, take it off a couple times a day or what?

So, are you thinking, you just cut the top off of the spawn bag and use that for the humidity tent?

Maybe I'll just buy one and find out. They are fairly cheap $25.00 I mean grain spawn is close to that. Plus this very reputable vendor that I would be getting the kit from is known for his aggressive, prolific cultures. So when the mushrooms grow, I can just clone them and keep the culture for myself to grow out in bulk, or what ever I feel like doing with it.

Well, some good person (a different vendor than mentioned earlier) just got back to me on FB about their kits. Here are some of the instructions:
1. Basics: REMEMBER. The bag contains a living organism. It will die if you neglect it. Fungi need high humidity, light and fresh air. Light quality is important and most commonly overlooked; natural light thru a window is best, indirect but bright. Other sources include florescent or LED light. The brighter the better. High humidity is essencial for pin formation and development. We provide you with a piece of woven fabric called reemay which should be moistened and draped over your open mushroom bag at all times. Keep the reemay misted with a fine mist sprayer or soak it in water three or four times a day minimum. Fresh air allows for normal development of most mushrooms. By cutting the bag open or off, you are providing the spawn with plenty of fresh air to grow.
2. Storing your bag: Store your bag at room temperature until you are ready to open it. If you want to keep your bag in storage for long periods, refrigeration is best. In general, the warmer it is the faster development occurs.
3. Fruiting your bag: When the bag is fully colonized, (completely covered in fungus), it will begin to form primordia or “pins” which are essencially baby mushrooms. At this point, either refrigerate the bag or let it fruit. Keep your block somewhere that you frequent often, like the kitchen or in the most humid part of the house. Bathrooms and laundry rooms are excellent!! You can set the bag on a dinner plate or in a shallow tupper ware. Just remember that it needs light. Fruiting temperatures between 50 and 75 are ideal for most species. Depending on temp and humidity, outside might be better than inside. For instance if it is cool and misty or rainy, stick the block outside on covered porch or window sill. If it is hot and sunny or below freezing, bring it in. The higher the humidity the better. Once you cut the bag open, no turning back!! You can increase humidity by placing the bag in an UNCOVERED plastic storage tub containing a few inches of moistened perlite or potting soil. Always keep the block wrapped in the reemay fabric and keep the reemay moist.
The rest of the instructions go into species specific fruiting conditions.
So, I guess my new question is, what is Reemay? Has anyone used it? What type of Reemay should I get? Are there any good substitutes? Can I use a wet paper towel instead?

In all seriousness, why try and replicate a kit?
What is wrong with building a SGFC that is guaranteed to perform better than fruiting in a bag?

Well, I've been growing mushrooms for around 15 years without kits. I have a SGFC, a Monotub, and 2 four tier GH's plus a large walk in GH, and yes they all work great for me.
I'm a Mycocentric Mutha Fucker, I didn't know anything really about these kits, and I want to know everything to do with mushrooms. I may decide to sell some kits. People ask me for these kits, and they are willing to pay for them. If I could develop a nice working kit, people in my area interested in mushrooms would appreciate it. I don't mean to offend anyone, I'm just looking for knowledge. People keep saying "kits suck" I get that. I've heard it a million times by now and have for years and years, that's why I've avoided them. I'm not trying to figure out if kits suck or not, I'm trying to figure out how they work, and how they can work better. So anyways, Reemay?? Can anyone actually help me?
