When is the earliest that I could go hunting?
    #19453328 - 01/21/14 03:09 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

I've been picking many times in the past and always find fairly large amounts. I live in the deep south, and the last time I went picking was October 19th and even then it had gotten down to the 40's the night before and I still found over 20 grams. If I was to go picking in mid February or so, do you think I'd find any pan cyans, or cubes???

If you stick to the fields that have produced well in the past, then you might find some cyans and cubes even in February.

I just found some of the meatiest cubes ever in southeast FL yesterday and that's with 40degree weather for a couple nites even frost on the ground the day before the hunt. ITS ALL ABOUT RAIN AND HUMIDITY..  Needs a few days of rain and high humidity which we had last week. I was even blown away by how big and colorful the cubes and pans have been in January this year. If you go tomorrow to your trusty spot  they will be there if you got the rain we got last week....

Awesome. I am hoping to find as many as I did back in October, as October and February and similar in temperature and weather.

Check my pics, the one that I posted the other day is from my last hunt on Monday. It was 21grams after 8 hrs from time it was picked also found 3 other ones that where 16&19g.  Go out there they are still there in S.E Florida..  Hope you find'em.
