Well sad news about the Baeo plates....the only spores to germinate were not Baeo spores. One of the plates didn't germinate anything, just has a clean streak of purple brown spores. I was told the print was over a year old, I don't know how to breath life back into them. I'm wondering if rehydrating the spores before I swipe the plates might help.
A fresh print would be good too...

On my tab and got no clue how to post links with it but type no pour into the search bar, I like it cause I can hydrate sores in a syringe before I inoculate

Ask Joust for a new print.

So update on baeos.
I tried again with spores, some germinated so I transferred the strongest leading edge and the only one to take so far looks like this.
Is that blue from some kind if contam or psilocybin?
My guess is contam.

Also, serbica will be on grain by next weekend. I've been battling bacteria and I think I've got the upper hand now phew...

That blue looks like a psilocybe blue.
Can you take that picture with natural light tomorrow?
That would be cool.

I can do that for sure. If it is psilocybin I'm going to pee myself.

Bummer dude. Looks like you were transferring mold.
You could save that oyster culture.

Thanks for pointing that out so clearly
I will save the oysters at once! Well after I shower and re sterilize my whole lab after my mold transfers I performed.
This agar deal is driving me nuts in a glove box. I want to be able to see better when using the scalpel. I need a laminar badly.

I made my flow hood for about 300. If you have wood lying around it will be even cheaper! Sorry for pouring salt in the wound.

No worries, I'll refine my technique more and more.
I've got all the stuff to make it except a filter and a blower.

Think 250 is too much for the blower and filter? Do you know if used filters are even worth it?

I bought this filter from these folks here. $100 and it has been working just fine for a year and a half.
They were good to me. The first filter they sent was damaged and they just sent me a second one that same day without paperwork or anything.

I bought my blower from some guy on craigslist for $30.
It's up to you mang.
edit- I would just start from scratch. That filter looks a little beat up.
Probably pretty used.
I'd get yourself a new one.
