To Case, Or wait

I have a poo casing that has already shrunk 1/2 inch on all sides, but 10% of the top isint fully colonized. Its veen a few days, and I geuss its too dry to colonize the very top layer 100%.; Should I go ahead and case? The uncolonized parts are just patches around the casing. Also how much lime is needed for every 10 cups of dry peat? Any ratio will work

I dont think you should case. Leaving it uncolonized leads to contam and if its too dry to colonize how do you think its going to fruit?

Its gonna suck up the water from the casing material. Its been 3-4 days and its not getting colonized 100%, it looks dry. Its completely colonized except for 10% of the surface. Hell It makes sence to me, just wanted yalls opionion

If your gonna case take a hot nail or whatever and burn the part of the casing that isn't colonized. Myc can't grow on burnt substrate, then again contams can't grow on it also.
