If you're in Canada, look at Canadian Tire. The one near me had a whole fuckin' wall full of different size canning jars. You might find some there...

Try Target...? That's american isn't it? Just keep lookin bro, the short ones are much better.
I just had two tall one finish a day or two ago, and they were knocked up on dec.6th. Crumbling them into some coir/verm right now to see what happens. The shorter fatter ones finished in between 21-30 days

I think Home Depot or Lowes would have 'em.
Good luck with that 1down5up. You'll definitely get much bigger yields spawning too bulk. First couple times I tried coir I fucked up the moisture content with too much water. Definitely want coir at field capacity or less. You putting em into a tray or two and still in your SGFC? Or are you switching to tubs?

The crumbled cakes are going in a tray in my SGFC, my WBS are going straight to mono's in a ~60/40 coir verm.
I had to test every handful of coir/verm i put in to make sure it was at field capacity. I think it may have been a little wetter on the bottom than i would like, but i didn't use it all.

Good call. Might as well still use that SGFC for something. No need to have a decent fruiting chamber going to waste. a little tip - leave a litle straight coir/verm to put over top of the stuff with spawn mixed in.

Do you "case" it right away, or wait till it colonizes?
Also, this guy turned his old SGFC into a dryer...that's my next plan

The top layer is not necessary. Exposed grains are fine during bulk colonization.

No, it's not 100% necessary, but exposed grains will dry out much easier than coir/verm. If the mycelium on these exposed grains dies that leaves an easy place for contams to come in.

I do it same time as spawning. If you wait until after it colonizes you might as well just add a casing layer instead.

they look to be the start of in vitro pins man. Sometimes, when it happens early, it could be a sign of contams, but where yours are almost done, just birth them when they're fully colonized. Make sure to give them a good smell when you birth them for anything that smells odd. They could be contam and the smell will give it away.
EDIT: I can't really tell, might be the lighting, but that last pic looks a little off...i could be wrong though. Does it smell wierd?

As I said before there is no smell coming from the inoculation holes... And I thought they were pins . But the last pic/jar I thought looked the best out or all of them

on the contam thread i have someone also said they are pins, how should i go about birthing them considering they are 100% colonized, i plan on waiting till they hit that 100% mark but do i need to dunk and roll or should i just throw them in the FC?

Definitely dunk and roll man. Do not skip those steps....or you'll be on here again in a week asking what's up with your cakes

Have you found the right jars yet? Try true value or ace hardware they have never let me down, and i have had the same problem in the past.
