Just made another casing Koh Super strain, they don't seem to put out on cakes. Anyways I ran out of these as shown in pic, they're about 5" deep x 7" long (come w/ lids) , can't find them anywhere unless I buy like #160 of them. Trust me I've googled ma brains out, heres a pic of my last casing done this morning. Any references much gratitude!!! Looking for about #20-30.

A casing layer has nothing in common with a bulk substrate.
They are 2 completely different things.

Chinese take out containers (with clear lids). Start getting hungry.

I missed the 5" deep part. Sorry, these are only about half that (without the lid).

I think you should use proper terminology too. This way less misunderstandings can occur. At first i thought u cassed rye..
There are many lurkers on this site and we wouldnt want to misinform anyone, right?
Bulk sub is nutritional substrate, which is meant to get colonized.
On the other hand, casing is non-nutritional layer on top of colonized substrate. I think it differs from species to species but casing usually dont get colonized even to 50%, nor does this layer provide anything but protective layer for contams, humidity.

I already make threads for newbies bro & were not talking about casing layer + bulk substrates TRAY's man, on other just chit chat threads I'll call it w/e yo and what are u doing here with your dictionary? Googling copy & pasting stuff I think any "lurkers" can use the search button for terminology and btw what the hell is that thing in your avatar? ewww scorpion shroom? Anyways maybe you should make terminology thread for these lurkers ya know?

It never hurts to use the right terminology. It just creates confusion calling them "casings".

No worries. I'd try going back to that Chinese food place. I bet they'd sell you the trays for like 5cents a piece or something.
