I also had some questions about how to "dunk" with rye seed and flushing. What is the best way to dunk a rye seed substrate and when I harvest my first batch of Mushies do I just let the mycelium regrow and it will fruit again or do I need another incubation period to let the mycelium regrow where I have already plucked the mushies?
I would attach Images but I am not really sure how.

What your referring to is a g2g transfer but I wouldn't risk trying it on those two jars. Make fresh jars and re prep grains if you want to do a g2g. As far as the dunking what are you planning to do with the rye? Spawn it to what and what kind of fc are you planning to use ?

I would like to have them fruit more than once but I am not sure that it is possible. I have tried to do my research on it but there doesn't seem to be that much info on it. I have small containers inside of a bigger tub that I will be using so that I can use perlite on the bottom for the humidity. I will also be using vermiculite as my casing for my rye grain.

Type all those terms (ones you plan on using) into the search bar and you should find quite a bit of info on here. fruiting more than once would be second and third flushes. FC's with perlite are "usually" SGFC. I don't think verm by itself would work well as a casing, but you should look that up too

Thank you sir. I will look these up. Is there any suggestion that you have as far as the casing is concerned? I have looked up dunking for rye grain but had little luck finding anything on it.

Is there any reasons that you guys can think of that my others did not germinate? I am guessing that the substrate was packed to tightly because I (really don't remember) don't think that I shook the jars once I took the out of the pc or when I inoculated them.

maybe ya didn't shake the syringe before each hole. I had some do the same man. Next thing ya know, 3 weeks later, they started.
I've never cased anything before, but with cubes, i heard you don't HAVE to, but if you do you'll keep more moisture, and increase your chances of better flushes....but that's what i've read on here, and that doesn't mean that it's the rules. You'll find you have to read about the same topic 4 or 5 times over before the real deal starts to show through, unless you get answers from a TC or someone else you find knowledgeable. There are many on here. Keep reading bro.

Thanks man. Yea I am reading some right now about flushing and seeing how people are doing it. I don't believe I shook it in between holes but I will make a note of that next time I use one. I believe I will just do a g2g for my next try at growing because i have live culture going. Thanks again for all the information

The tin foil is used to cover the holes that I used for inoculation. What kind of contamination do you think it is?

No i didnt use a filter. I just did the two holes before I pressure cooked them and wrapped them in foil. Also some of these jars have been shaken a little rough in order to try to break some of the clumps down.

Really? And you don't know where the bacteria contaminant could have came from..
