Thanks for the info. I went ahead and tightened the polyfill (before reading your post), and I *feel* the humidity has definitely improved. My polyfill was really loose (I saw very little condensation on the tub). I see a lot of condensation now, with circles of evaporation around the polyfilled holes. I am going to keep it like this for a day and observe if it improves the pin set. One last question - harvesting the side pins: I am planning to do the flipping tek - where you put one monotub in another, flip it over, harvest, and put it back. Can this damage the pin sets on top? (since when the cake is flipped over, the weight of the entire substrate would be over the pins/knots - pressed against the second container).

Is this tek okay for cloning? LC Tek (Cloning)
It looks pretty old, but is surprisingly simple.

Can you post a link to an agar tek? I will need to find agar in the meanwhile. Is the LC tek useless?

Not useless. Just better with less hardy species like pans. There is quite a few negative things about LC. Its just better to start with agar.
Also I'll grab a couple links to get you started it'll be a min. I'll just edit this post with them.
Edit: Agar links. No particular order. The first two are just to give you some ideas. Also look up fast freds' agar cookbook (I think?). ALOT of recipes. Also Cronicr has some stuff done with a BRF and water(?) substitute.

Nice.
I've used that cloning technique. Like he said LC's can be sketchy. If you can't find agar there is always the brf agar substitute:

So my harvest was successful I had 4 flushes These pics are all from the first flush. I had plenty of side pins (I would say, 60% of my harvest was from the sides). I harvested them a little late since I wanted to see the fully grown shrooms :p
