I,m with 3MShroom, pressure cooking is the way to go.

sterilization in a microwave kills... which is great. it cooks from the inside.. causes the h20 in anything to get hot enough to burst it, and kill it. and it takes less time than pressure cooking. I still do both. if you want to do bulk.. i recommend nuking the substrate.. but if you have the time.. pc is good.
problem with nuking them is that you cannot place the jars or lids in the microwave. so you should use a nice tublike tupperware.. that is tall. no birthing is necessarey. and it will be relatively low maintenance.
