Are My Gyms the Active kind?

I believe I do have some sort of GYms here
Thanks to everyones preious help that this id
Now, Im wondering if anyone thinks my gyms are the active Kind, Spectabilis.

Location: Massachusetts
substrate: underground root
ring around stem: visible at picking
Taste: Very bitter I spit it out afterwards
Spore Print: Rusty brown/orange
Gills: attached
Found in a large cluster identical to many spectabilis pics Ive seen on the web
Odor: Sweet
Caps are turning blackish as they dry

Your specimens meet the description of Gymnopilus spectabilis. Alexander Smith says that not all specimens of that species have psilocybin, so they may or may not be active.
