I did'nt find the answer to to my question anywhere,. There's been no rain for 26 days, until today. Today I went to the field about 26-28 hours after the rain first started pouring, and nothing's there,
should I be worried? or do I need to wait another day or 2?

I usually go two days after a soak but there is great abundance in the fields for the next week if the ground says soaked for a while, ya know? It might take several days. Try more fields also as you might have a real dud of a field- don't know what it is you're looking for (though I'd assume cubies)- but some fields seem to yeild plenty while others are dry (of shrooms that is:) Good luck!

I dont know how good the Gulf Coastal fruiting will be though. Forecast pretty high temps with low low humidity all week.

Most of the time I start finding mushrooms about a half week to a week after a good rain. But it will vary according to more factors than I care to try to list right now.

Keep looking. To survive, the mushrooms need to reproduce. At some point they'll fruit. If you're out looking for them all the time, you'll be there when they do.

Happy mushrooming!
