Quick lighting question
    #1941715 - 09/22/03 07:13 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

I've already know that mushies don't require that much light to pin. However in my friend's set up, since he is planning on misting and fanning manually, he doesn't want to be burdened with electrical cords. So he was planning on taping a small battery powered reading light to the top of his set up. He wonders if this is left on for about 8 or so hours, would that be enough to induce pinning? He thinks it probably won't. But then again, he hears in situations like these, less is more.

Actually, I have oodles of batteries that I got for practically nothing. I cant remember where, but for 5 bucks I got like 75. Another point worth nothing, my friend has 12 cakes, so he thinks the light wont be able to reach all the cakes.

Wow, I'm an idiot. I just realized that my friend has a light fixture in the closet where his terrerium is going to be! So much for reading lights.
