Hello shroomerites, once again I am calling out to you for you help as well as your opinions. So here's the deal.... I will be doing two 36 qt SGFC s im going to put 5 PF cakes in one and crumble 5 into another I am considering using the elementary coir tek I look forward to your opinions/pointers?

do a proper pasteurizing for the best results IMO

I am assuming the coir tek is pretty solid, I am very familar with perlite and coir in hydroponic applications.

You'll be fine with coir even if you fuck up pasteurization but try proper pasteurization it's just as easy, a bit more time consuming but this hobby is worth the work you put in even if you're just looking for a handful to eat.
Take a look at the bulk bricks in a SGFC link in my sig. You can use cakes instead of the coir. Frankhorrigan has a coir prep tek too as well as proper pasteurization info

I don't dunk mine, some do, I prefer the heavy misting after letting it rest a day or two after a flush is harvested

don't dunk bulk. just wet it down good after the first flush. I think you're in the right direction with bulk coir. best to keep it simple the first few times to get used to it. I have a more complicated bulk in my sig if you wanna check it out. good luck

how many brf 1pint jars should I use in a 55l mono tub with coir/verm sub? I know I should just use Rye for this.
