to deep for my own good
    #19406507 - 01/12/14 12:55 AM (10 years, 1 month ago)

Sometimes I just feel like I should try and change the way I view life in order to connect with people. Im tired of being thought of as weird or anti social just because I dont enjoy small talk. Whenever someone ask me what my tattoos mean and why I got them if I try and explain it I just get this deer in headlights look like they are sorry they asked. Oh what do i do for fun? I enjoy being depressed and writing in my journal, that response always wins them over. Sometimes i just wish i could care about all the bs everyone else in cares about. Why does everything im drawn to have to feel so taboo?

It is better to meet 1 person in your lifetime that adheres to your point-of-view than to meet a thousand who are met because you chose to adapt to them.

This might not seem especially relevant but I think it might be helpful.  I don't have any interest in small-talk or most of the things people are into, but I really enjoy people.  I wouldn't have anything to do with most of the people I come across unless I'd learned to extend my kindness and care to the random people I meet.

first be more clear alone with yourself values according to you

the problem with being oneself is its freedom nature because it is alone.. it must be free because it is true, so you must be your own self value alone

then it would be easier, what you will get certain rewards out of that positive being you alone are right through..

and at last you will learn how to be objectively superior to what negative others are and feel well about yourself socially

i think it is great that you have have your own interests and personal values . if others dont dig it then fuck them.

i think a lot can be said tho for meeting people. even the most straight seeming person will have a story to tell and could add value.

i'd encourage you to play the game a bit more, it doesnt mean you are betraying your identity and you may be surprised by what you find..

i personally have pretty bad social anxiety so im as much trying to convince myself as i am you..

All you half assed losers piss me off.  Be a real loser like me, and you won't have to be begging for someone to lay down beside you.  I used to get that deer in the headlight look when I would try to explain the real goings on to some dyed in the wool sheep.  Of course, that was a few years ago and even some of the sheep have seen a little glimpse of the real things happening.

So OP, don't take the time to explain things to others, it will only confuse them further and make you feel bad enough to post in here.

Its because you are judging yourself or comparing yourself to others IMO.

Like was said, stop giving a fuck what they think.  Stop seeing yourself through their judgment or your own projection of what they might think of you.

Express yourself as an individual and feel proud to have a unique perspective.

Well maybe find solace in the billions of people living on this planet who have the same mundane emotions and realize it's not all that special.
